This is just a great damn rock'and'roll song. Peak Lennon. There's so much goddamn fun going on here. Not even sure where to begin. - McCartney's bass playing is just on fire. I found isolations on YouTube and slowed it down, picking apart those mini-fills in the verses. Dude was just feeling that groove all over the place! The only comparable song I can think of with such quick percussive fills is “Got To Get You Into My Life,“ but even that sounds sedate in comparison. Please listen to the bass, this really is a top 10 McCartney song. Severely underrated. - Ringo propels this song. Not just on the drums, but the cowbell and bongos. That bongo track is almost as crazy as the bass! - And finally, that blistering Lennon guitar solo. It cannot be replicated. That sloppy precision, growling tone, and yet, PERFECT timing. Studied nonchalance. On my end, please welcome the newest member of my Beatles gear family - a VINTAGE set of Ludwig Blac
