I'm swamped with preparing for upcoming finals, but I wanted to make something, even if it's super short! One of today's prompts is Songs and Lyrics: I chose this song because it's a duet where both sides get to express themselves and I think it fits really well for both Alina and the Darkling. It's kinda the “Pick me. Choose me. Love me.“ of songs. Both keep hoping for the other person to put them first. The Darkling hoping Alina chooses him and joins his side, Alina hoping the Darkling chooses her and tries to see things from her point of view, but both being aware neither of them will compromise their beliefs.
