As soon as the offensive of the Russian army went beyond the borders of Avdeevka and Koksokhim, we almost immediately realized that it would be difficult for the Ukrainian military to defend the new, newly occupied positions. This was largely due to the lack of not so much combat, but engineering and construction equipment, and, more importantly, the inability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to use it at such a short distance. It is not enough to simply dig out good positions; they also need to be prepared for defense. The Ukrainian Armed Forces units driven out of Avdeevka did not have time for this. They had to settle in as is.
