This small traditional Swiss village is truly a little corner of heaven. Through the tranquility that this place transmits and the beautiful landscapes that surround it, you will feel truly relaxed. Brienz is located in a delightful mountain landscape on the eastern side of Lake Brienz with its turquoise waters. This pretty village is the starting point for excursions in the Bernese Oberland, to the Ballenberg open-air museum, but also to Lucerne, Interlaken or even the nearby Alpine passes. Switzerland as in a picture book : Arriving in Brienz, via the Brünipass or along Lake Brienz and its turquoise waters, you will discover an absolutely fascinating mountain region. Preferably make the trip on the very popular Goldenpass line which runs along the lake and connects Interlaken and Zurich. Or take the row boat on Lake Brienz. It will glide past picturesque villages, tumultuous waterfalls and charming landscapes. The typical chalet village of Brienz with its long quay is surrounded by opulent meadows, forests and glades which are overlooked by imposing rock walls. Here you can appreciate the perfect harmony between the mountains and the lake. Once in Brienz, you can stroll along the lakeside promenade. In winter too, there is no need to give up swimming. You can warm up at one of the Hotpots in a wintry setting.
