This is a cooperative game I created using ideas from the PhysEdGames channel. Students work in small groups, starting from a safe location. They get 3 hoops to use as special ships to travel across the lava to collect the 5 power sources (bean bags) that match their team color. They can choose to bring them back individually, or all 5 at the same they place 1 on each polyspot. These represent the only remaining fuel source left to use so they can take off to a new planet since the current one is losing the ability to sustain life. Rules are simple: 1) Don't touch the lava or else a fuel source (bean bag) will be taken away and thrown back into the game area 2) No jumping. Stepping only. 3) No moving hoops while they are on the floor. I had a couple break the rules in the video, but I let it go as I was recording. Oh well, haha.
