A very cool chromatic filler that Tom Quayle likes to use quite a bit. Tom Quayle is one of the most insane legato players out there right now and his insane legato chops are some of the most intense you can find on the web. In this video I talk about a very cool approach to adding chromatic fillers to your legato playing. Instead of using chromatic approach notes, you use a bit of modal borrowing to spice things up a bit. In today's licks I decide to go with the natural 7th from the Melodic Minor scale and the b5 from the Blues scale. Hope you like the lick!
