The island is famous for the outside exhibition of the Kizhi Museum-Reserve located on the island , including the architectural ensemble of the Kizhi Pogost . On the island there are villages - Kizhi , Vasilyevo and Yamka , which are now part of the Velikogubsky rural settlement of Medvezhiegorsk district. Most of the buildings are part of the museum-exhibition , being architectural monuments, many of them were transported for exposition from other villages in the area....
