Развитие Красной армии происходило согласно доктрине, которая подразумевала, что в войнах будут участвовать многомиллионные армии, имеющие все современные виды вооружённых сил. В 1930-е годы главным направлением развития Красной армии стало строительство современной армии, совершенствование систем вооружения, а также введение всеобщей воинской обязанности. Началось перевооружение 1930-х годов и оснащение армии новыми видами военной техники, принятие мер по преобразованию системы подготовки военных специалистов и по перестройке боевой и оперативной способности войск. Без внимания не остались и преобразования в сфере реорганизация высшего военного руководства СССР. ______________________________________________________________________ The development of the Red Army took place according to the doctrine, which implied that multimillion armies with all modern types of armed forces would participate in wars. In the 1930s, the main direction of the development of the Red Army was the construction of a modern army, the improvement of weapons systems, as well as the introduction of universal military duty. The rearmament of the 1930s and the equipping of the army with new types of military equipment began, measures were taken to transform the system of training military specialists and to restructure the combat and operational capabilities of the troops. The transformations in the sphere of reorganization of the supreme military leadership of the USSR did not remain without attention.
