Sara Vaughan was strongly influenced by Gillespie and Parker's boppers around her when she entered the pro, and naturally wore Be Bop beats, chords, and bop fraise. In this respect, Sara was the first singer to start walking with the emergence of modern jazz in the hotbed of Bop from the beginning. Among the octets led by Jimmy Jones (p) was Miles Davis.
