Four Corners takes you inside the al-Hawl refugee camp in north-east Syria, home to at least 72,000 people – many of them women and children who were members of Islamic State. The sprawling camp, controlled by the Syrian Defence Forces (SDF), is filthy and heavy rains have turned it to a morass of mud, dotted with filthy rain water, litter and human waste. Infectious illnesses are rampant and many of the inhabitants are suffering not only from the long-term effects of starvation but also from dysentery
