Full title reads: “France. Here's ... Novelty! Shepherds of Hossegor - who almost live on stilts, owing to marshy nature of the country - perform traditional dances in honour of visiting congress of native authors (Filmed For First Time).“ Hossegor, France. Group of men standing on stilts parade over small bridge. A few people walk alongside them. In a small arena the men on stilts dance, in all ale couples, to the traditional music of the accordion. Pan around part of the crowd. Closer shot the men dancing - their clothes are made from sheepskin - presumably because they are shepherds. More shots of the crowd. The dancers now hold poles between them and dance around in a circle. The return to dancing in pairs. It all looks rather odd - dancing on stilts!
