The 5th Russia-Pakistan Joint Military Consultative Committee meeting was held in Islamabad. The event was co-chaired by Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Aleksandr Fomin and Pakistani Defence Secretary Lieutenant General Ali Muhammad. The sides positively estimated the dynamically developing mutually beneficial military relations and reiterated their commitment to effectively utilise the gained potential to strengthen bilateral military partnership. The sides constructively discussed a wide range of issues of the military political situation in the region. In addition, during the event, a bilateral meeting took place between Deputy Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Colonel General Aleksandr Fomin with Pakistani Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, during which a number of topics of mutual interest were discussed.
