He has a monthly radio show on Worldwide FM in which he interviews certain guests, exploring the connection between their lives and music. He has been recently given a weekly morning show too, which he uses to zoom into certain musical periods, exploring the cultural histories that have defined those sounds. His debut book 'Noting Voices: Contemplating London's Culture' was published last year on Rough Trade Books. It maps the connection between physical space and community in his home city, explored via the lens of the jazz resurgence he grew up within. His article for The Guardian earlier this year, exploring the history of Pakistani jazz, was critically praised and celebrated widely for connecting certain musical dots that have been overlooked for decades.
