Terrorism or the Gym MMA in Chechnya

Mixed martial arts, also known as MMA, has been booming with the young people of Chechnya and Dagestan. Decades of war and the constant presence of terrorism in the area has left its mark on the people who live there. Tamerlan Tsarnaev the Boston bomber, was originally from Dagestan and found himself drawn to boxing, he didn’t turn to extremism until after his boxing career fell apart. Maybe MMA can be the outlet that the young people of Chechnya and Dagestan need to rise above their desperate situation.
