USA) Bench grinder that I picked at an auction for around $60 USD. This is a 1/2 H.P. Ball Bearing Capacitor Ginder. Thanks for watching, I appreciate the view! THE RESTORATION PROCESS I tore the bench grinder apart and sandblasted the painted parts. We fixed the wiring and had the capacitor bench tested at our local electric motor shop. I replaced the bearings. I used a tumbler to clean up a lot of the small hardware. I wanted a more stationary base for the bench grinder so we built a new one that fastens directly to the floor. Overall the restoration turned out great and I am happy to have this bench grinder in my restoration shop. It should come in handy!
