His neo-romantical compositions blend classical forms and rich orchestral colours with modern elements, crafting a timeless elegance. Since the release of Le Grand Cahier in 2017, he has been taking the classical world by storm and amassing millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify. With a reputation as one of the most gifted and inventive contemporary composers of classical music, Alexander’s Suites for Strings have been featured in films and TV shows, as well as the BBC (UK) and ABC (Australia), among others. Born in Minsk in 1962, Alexander graduated in Musicology from the local State Music College in 1982, and went on to study Composition at the Belarusian State Academy of Music under Prof. Dmitry Smolsky.
