Copper beeches are magical trees, displaying a myriad of colours that change dramatically from spring to autumn. In spring and summer I sometimes like to sit or lie under them and gaze up at the sunlight filtering through the multi-coloured leaves, which, depending on the time of year, cast a pink glow onto the surrounding area below and through the windows of my house.
