Crystal Flight (HD) by Philippe Saisse

This “Crystal Flight“ music video was recorded in 1989 for the music part and September 2013 for the video!!! I was fortunate to have the visit on Nick Moroch a few weeks ago who was in town for some sessions, and I asked him to replay the parts he recorded on that very recording.. I did the same and had to re-learn my parts and the solo so I could film it. There you have it: 1989 audio and 2013 video by the same guys, with the exception of Victor Bailey who played fretless bass, Chris Botti, Andy Snitzer and Michael Davis, that killing horn section! Maybe I’ll add them later! ;) The tune was written as part of my 3rd solo record which was first released in Japan and France as “Dream Catcher“. When Verve Forecast released it for the US, the album became “Masques“ and 2 songs were dropped from that release: “Crystal Flight“ and “Dream Catcher“. This is why I decided to release them for the first time in the US after more than 23 years
