No welding is required to make this. This is all you need to make this: Mount/Dismount Duck Head Tire Changer: Straight Tire iron I used to pull the bead over rim: Tire LUBE is a MUST(dish soap in a pinch): Basic Manual Tire Changer Machine: MAKE THE BEST OUT OF YOUR TIRE CHANGER: SPECS: The angle of the bar upwards is right at 10degrees. This is not super crucial and you could push it to 12-14 degrees. The angle of the head was 14 degrees from bar centerline after my last modification. Bar length is 48inches. Must spin counter clockwise. NO WELD: The bend upwards in the bar isn't 100% necessary but does make it easier to use. You could simply put the bar in your trailer hitch receiver(or similar) and jump up an down on it to create an adequate bend/arch. Then mount it to the head. The 1/4 plate I used for the head can be a simple 4“x 5“ square and doesn't need tapering where it mounts to the bar. As far as a bar goes I think a square tube would work best or use round pipe and bolt a flat piece to the section that rides on the center tire machine hold down. FINAL THOUGHTS: This thing rocks and gets a 10 out of 10 removing tires. Installing it gets a 7 out of 10 on the first bead and 8 out of 10 on the last/top bead. My original bar( ) gets a 10 out of 10 on the first and second bead for mounting and a 7 out of 10 dismounting tires. If I hustle I can break the bead, uninstall and install a new tire in under 5 minutes. SUPPORT THE CHANNEL or support the SHOP DOG's treat addiction: Buy Ginger a new bone:
