Meat Loaf. January 20, 2022, Meat Loaf has died at the age of 74. The news was confirmed on the star’s Facebook page by his family. “Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side,“ a message read. The Bat Out of Hell star sold 100 million albums worldwide and appeared in movies like Fight Club, the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Wayne’s World. Michael Lee Aday (born Marvin Lee Aday; September 27, 1947 - January 20, 2022), better known by his stage name Meat Loaf, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. He is noted for his powerful, wide-ranging operatic voice and theatrical live shows. His ’Bat Out of Hell’ trilogy of albums (consisting of Bat Out of Hell, Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell, and Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose) has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide. Almost 40 years after its release, Bat Out of Hell still sells an estimated 200,000 copies annually and stayed on the charts for over nine years, making it one of the best selling albums in history. Meat Loaf performed exclusively live at the prestigious Grand Gala du Disque, the annual TV gala of AVRO Television in the Netherlands on 29 September 1993 with his hit ‘I’d Do Anything For Love’. As a result of the spectacular performance the single entered the Dutch Top 40 on October 16, 1993 and went straight to #1 where it stayed for no less than 6 weeks. The song is written by Jim Steinman and was an international hit for Meat Loaf. The female singer is Patti Russo. Patricia “Patti“ Russo (May 20, 1964) is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She is best known as Meat Loaf’s former female lead vocalist, as she toured the world with his band Neverland Express between 1993 and 2013. Since then, she has embarked on a solo career.
