Vinyl: FB: Samim has justly gained a reputation over the past few years as one of the most innovative contemporary dance music producers, and also as one of its most consistently exciting live performers. Berlin´s Get Physical are proud to present his new solo album, ´Flow´, the debut full-length release under his own name. The talented Iranian-Swiss first came to the attention of the dance community with his productions as Samim & Michal (with Michal Ho). Releases on labels like Kindisch, Freizeitglauben and Tuning Spork marked the duo out as big names for the future. In 2004 due to a serious Illness, Samim was forced to take a break; he returned to the fray shortly after, newly focused and determined to push himself and his creativity as far as he possibly could. A move to Berlin enabled numerous collaboration incl. the Fuckpony Project, which resulted in an album for Get Physical, ´Children of Love´, which was as celebrated for its production nous as for its wicked sense of humour. Samim also released an album as Bearback, and 12“s on respected labels like Circus Company and Moon Harbour. On top of this, his remix talents have been in high demand, leading him to rework tracks for the likes of Fourtwenty, Dirtybird, Highgrade and Crosstown Rebels (his mix of Pier Bucci´s ´Hay Consuela´was a club smash). Samim´s new LP under his own name is a dizzying document of dance futurism and, as the title suggests, for all its experimentation, for all its twists and tangents, this is an album which never loses its sense of direction, nor its commitment to twisted dancefloor funk. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Flow.
