According to Psychology Today, nearly 63% of people who reported being lonely were married and living with their spouse. Despite sharing the same house, meals and bed, married couples are still feeling isolated, disconnected and alone. Dr. Greg Smalley recently discovered the burden that his wife Erin had been carrying for decades in cooking for their family by herself. During the COVID pandemic, Greg was given the job of “chef” for the family since all of their kids were back under one roof. Over time, Greg realized how much stress he was feeling throughout the day to prep for meals. That was his wakeup call to Erin’s struggles. In this interview, the Smalleys will motive couples to be more intentional about serving one another and cultivating the intimacy that God intends for their relationship.
