This clip was filmed on June 17, 1969 at the home of Louis Armstrong in Corona, Queens. It is not only a nod to his tremendous career, but also shows his extraordinary natural ease, never before caught on film. In the first jazz festival in Nice, in 1948, Louis Armstrong asked critic Hugues Panassié to translate “That's my desire' for his concert in Paris. He wanted to surprise (and unsettle) his singing partner Velma Middleton by inserting a few sentences in French. Bonjour! You will find more information about this clip, and others, on my website: http// I have lived through and filmed many unforgettable historical moments, beginning in 1956 with my first tour of Africa on a Harley Davidson. You can reach me by email at @. So long! louis Panassié Ce document est un clin d'œil filmé chez Louis Armstrong à Corona, le 17 juin 1969, avec des images d'un extraordinaire naturel
