May 14 2021 MANHATTAN, New York: Free Palestine protesters gathered today for a rally and a teach-in outside of MoMA. At one point, according to witnesses on the scene, one of the protesters was blocking traffic and sitting on a vehicle. Police reportedly tried arrest him, but did not or were unable to at the time. According to a video on social media, the police tackled that protester and arrested him in a parking garage nearby. Protesters marched and blocked an intersection in Midtown outside of the local precinct where the protester was said to be taken, and chanted, “let him go.“ The group later gathered for a prayer, at one point dropping an Israeli flag on the ground then dancing on it and eventually burning it.
