There are 5 Sacred Mountains of China, located across the country. Last week I went to Mount Tai (Eastern Mountain) which was the second time for me. The first time was around 15 years ago and we walked all the way from the bottom to the top and walked all the way downhills again, this time we rode on a bus from bottom to the mid-point 中天门 then walked the rest to the top and rode the cable car (ropeway) downhills because my cousin couldn't make it (yeah it's quite exhausting if you walk all the way) Mount Tai (泰山) is a mountain of historical and cultural significance located north of the city of Tai'an. It is the highest point in Shandong province, China. The tallest peak is the Jade Emperor Peak (玉皇顶), which is commonly reported as being 1,545 meters (5,069 ft) tall. Usually you get to see the beauty of the sea of clouds at the top but this time there was only clear sky, unlucky.
