In this video we 4 basic very important exercise to start playing properly the pedal, and we will see how to isolate that ankle, that is a crucial aspect for everyone who want to increase their speed control and stamina with the double or the single pedal. First we start without the pedal and we get the feeling of a relaxed foot and ankle following this four exercise: -Up and Down motion .Heel up down stroke -Heel down -Heel toe technique Then we will try to apply the same movement to the pedal without the spring. Those movement are also important to develop a great sound from your bass drum. For every drummer who want to play the swivel technique de 2nd exercise (Heel up) is the starting point, be sure to play “with“ the pedal and not “against“ the pedal, this movement will help you when you apply the spring.
