She was full of despair, because her home village was suffering from drought. The shaman agreed to help, but first he needed to hear what nature was saying. With the help of his horns, Hjolm went into the forest, trusting the echoes that reflected from his horns. He listened to the rustling of leaves and the sounds of birds.
