I learned the lyrics to this song about 20 *gulp* years ago from The Pogues Excellent album “Peace & Love“ from hmm was it 1988? Never been a huge fan of The Pogues but this song is probably in my top 5 list of all songs. Also it is the first Irish song I learned and it kind of started my love for the traditional music.
