A child is behind bars after leading police on a medium to low-speed chase around and slightly above the streets of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The 12-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, stole a telescopic forklift from a construction site outside his middle school after finding the keys left inside the cab. Police were first alerted to something amiss after hearing reports of a minor driving a stolen forklift with no headlights on. After over an hour of moderate speed hijinks, which included hitting 10 parked vehicles and driving outside city limits, police eventually were able to overpower the child when he got bored of driving and pulled over. ‘This was a very dangerous situation that could’ve easily ended with serious injuries,’ Michigan police said in a statement. ‘The incident remains an active and ongoing criminal investigation’
