Keyboard and keys are a bit too distant from each other; though their action is shallow and comfortably light. String-hitchpin relationship of a few strings a bit unstable: string rides up the hitchpin lowering its pitch and needs to be intermittently pressed down against the sound board ( no hitch pin rail) This point evoked a very important comment I don't believe even Frank Hubbard mentions: it is likely that strings slipping up hitch pins may not be the only cause of pitch uncertainty; perhaps a more likely cause may be poor contact of strings with the metal pins on the bridge (metal string meeting metal pin can sharpen acoustic quality from fat, tubby against wood to thin, slender against metal) which also affects pitch. I'd only ever been conscious of how the strings contacted the walnut wood bridge and the sitka spruce soundboard which was likely a mistake. The case is made of 1/4“ thin cedar wood: fragile but flexible, Useful in learning baroque harpsichord conventions de
