Little Italy - Standoff ends with man almost hitting pedestrians

On 7/26/21 at approximately 1:45 PM, San Diego Police attempted to pull over an erratic driver but filed to Yield for Officers. The suspect ended up stopping near Date Street, but did not exit the vehicle. According to witness Omed Muzzaffery, the standoff lasted almost 2 hours. The video shows Officers deploying pepper balls into the vehicle, when the driver took off on the sidewalk clipping a news vehicle and almost hitting pedestrians. Luckily no one was hurt during the escape. According to KFMB News 8, the suspect is still outstanding.
