Recorded in February 2021, this is a collaboration with the great Brazilian pianist/composer Jovino Santos Neto (Hermeto Pascoal, independent), Peruvian bass master Oscar Stagnaro (Paquito D'Rivera, Berklee, Caribbean Jazz Project) and drummer Mark Walker (Paquito D'Rivera, Berklee, Oregon, Michel Camilo, Lyle Mays). “Blues Walk,“ written by Clifford Brown and arranged by Jovino Santos Neto, is treated as a Brazilian 'samba em sete' (samba in 7/4). Jovino Santos Neto initially recorded his part with no accompaniment on his phone and sent it to Walker, who then recorded the drum performance in his studio, Coolidge Hill. He sent it off to Stagnaro, whom he calls his 'partner in time,' from all the years playing together with Paquito D'Rivera and many other artists. After the bass was recorded, Stagnaro sent it back to Santos Neto, who mixed it and sent it to Argentinian drummer/engineer Fernando Martinez at Moma studio. Blues Walk Composer - Cl
