Line and Wash Robins | How to Sketch Birds

This week I'm working in my sketchbook, filling a page with robins. I'm practising drawing and sketching Robins to prepare for a full Robin watercolour painting. I used Robin reference photos from - from users AARN GIRI and Alfred Kennealy. (Used in accordance with the unsplash licence) and when I come to my final project I'll draw a Robin using my experience of making these sketches. SUPPLIES Paints Used: Windsor and Newton Professional Watercolours in Quinacridone Gold, Permanent Rose and Sepia. * Painted on 300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper from Cass Arts I used Pro Arte Prolene Round Brushes in size 6. * I used a Uni-pin Fine Line pen. * Use these links for a 10% discount on your first order.
