Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces successfully test-fired a single-warhead Topol intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Saturday from the Kapustin Yar testing range in the Astrakhan Region of southern Russia. The RS-12M Topol ICBM (or NATO reporting name SS-25 Sickle) has a maximum range of 10,000 km. According to Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces, the launch aimed to test a prospective warhead of the intercontinental ballistic missile. (Video: )
