1960s French Ye-Ye girl Sylvie Vartan in a Japanese TV commercial for Renown clothing. Sylvie was France's first girl rock & roll star. She was married to Johnny Hallyday, the French “Elvis.“ Paul Anka wrote and gave the song “I'm Watching You“ to Slyvie which became her first international hit. (Japan). Sylvie headlined at the Paris Olympia -- the same bill as the Beatles & Trini Lopez just weeks before the Beatles first Ed Sullivan appearance.
