There are many theories that alien civilizations may inhabit our planet. One of them says that they have created underwater bases for the convenience of moving around the Earth and observing us. This theory is based on the fact that water is an ideal environment for life, as it provides protection from radiation and other hazards. In addition, it allows #aliens to observe us without our knowledge. There is also an assumption that underwater bases can be used to store technologies and information that may be dangerous to #humanity. And it seems that this seems to be a lot, but it is worth noting that the research mainly concerns the surface. And the main part of the ocean, especially its depths, is still poorly studied. Legends about underwater creatures are found in the mythology of many countries around the world. For example, the ancient Greeks tell about the Nereid people - sea nymphs living in the depths of the sea. In Slavic mythology, there are legends about water spirits, which can take the form of a human or animal. Ancient Indian texts tell of nagas, semi-divine beings with a snake body and human heads who live underwater and possess supernatural abilities. “Sea maidens“ and “#Silks“ and “#Merrows“ are mythical underwater creatures in the legends of the peoples of Europe. The ancient Sumerians have #legends about certain underwater inhabitants “#oanami“ who taught the inhabitants of the land writing, construction, science and agriculture. They communicated with the locals in their own language, but did not eat terrestrial food and always went back under water after dark. There are also legends about the mysterious Atlantis, which was first described by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato in his work #Timaeus. Some scientists believe that this city could have been created by an alien civilization. They claim that #Atlantis was not just a city, but an entire empire that controlled most of the world. They also say that the inhabitants of Atlantis had advanced technologies such as flying machines and laser weapons, and the inhabitants themselves were representatives of an extraterrestrial civilization. And one day, Atlantis simply disappeared, going under water along with an island somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. According to one version, she died as a result of a powerful earthquake and volcanic eruption. Another version says that the city was destroyed by aliens from outer space, and the third says that the #Atlanteans simply decided to move their base underwater away from human eyes, wars and cataclysms.
