The Rainbows were a 1960s German beat band from West Berlin whose song Balla Balla was internationally successful in 1965. The song today goes by the name: My Baby Baby Balla Balla. The Rainbows reached number 3 in the weekly German singles chart in 1965 with Balla Balla, as well as number 16 in the annual ranking. In 1966, the band received the Bronze Bravo Otto from the youth magazine BRAVO, behind the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, due to their popularity in Germany at the time.
