► “The inspiration for the concept of 'humanophobia' has been derived from my visit to the former Cambodian concentration camp S-21 ('Security Office 21'), which was set up in an erstwhile school. Between the years 1975 to 1979 the Khmer Rouge imprisoned and tortured people that resisted or where just believed to oppose their extremist ideology in this compound. Executions were held in the nearby orchard Choeung Ek, which was turned into a mass grave for the regime's victims. Both sites have meanwhile been designated as national monuments. It has been estimated that during the four years, in which the Khmer Rouge controlled Cambodia up to 2 of the 7 million inhabitants of the country were murdered. Of the 14,200 citizens incarcerated in S-21 only 7 confirmed survivors escaped the terror.“ --- Martin Sane/Fïx8:Sëd8 Stay connected with Dependent Records: ► Official Online Shop: https://de
