There are just so many comic book characters in the eclectic Marvel Universe that when there's a requirement- even if it is to fill the role of an innocuous mortal- Kevin Feige and team often handpick a comic book name. Sometimes, its a part of an elaborate plan to introduce more ties within the multiverse. At other times, like the Infinity Gauntlet debacle, an innocuous easter egg can lead to a lot of confusion and speculation. This list includes all the titular Marvel superheroes that were in some way hidden, pre-conceived or simply mentioned in the MCU to give the discerning audiences a kick. From extremely subtle nods given to the creators like those in Spider-Man:Homecoming to very clear hints at older, differently franchised characters like the Human Torch, this video looks at all the ways in which MCU creatively harnessed its comic book roots. These easter eggs and hidden heroes might not make much sense to the ordinary moviegoers, which is what must make Marvel's die hard comic fans feel so much more rewarded than the average, movie-only fan.
