Well a year later, I finally found a Sonor S Classix Birch that was worthy of checking out. Where I live you dont see too many people with Sonors and rarely do you see them come up for sale. As soon as I heard an S Classix Birch (Scandinavian birch to be exacpt) kit came into Sam Ash I went to check it out. Turns out there was a Sonor Jungle snare too! I still needed a “real“ snare so I borrowed Bryce's Benny Greb snare. These drums sound incredible, tuned up super easy, and recorded like a dream. Easily one of the best sounding kits I've come across! The S Classix line has kinda been forgotten about and replaced with newer lines from Sonor, but when it comes to this kit vs my DW Collectors, the Sonor takes the cake. No questions asked. Also this wasnt the most expensive drum set tbh. Of course I bought it used, but it was WAYYY LESS than that DW. I FINALLY Bought a SONOR Drum Set!
