ERUPTION FEAT. JANE JAMES Eruption had had two big international sellers with I Can't Stand The Rain and One Way Ticket, both sung by Precious Wilson, and a third German Top 10 single with Go Johnnie Go (1980), sung by their new lead singer Kim Davis who sadly passed away from a brain hemorrhage. The group had recruited Jane James to fulfill their tour and TV commitments, and this new constellation released the single Runaway January '81, hitting #21 in the German charts. Hansa showed no interest in the intended follow-up Baby Don't Go and instead released the single You with the late Kim Davis. Eruption left the label and signed with Ralph Siegel's Jupiter Records where the first single In A Thousand Years was released towards the end of 1981, produced by Werner Schüler & Michael Hoffmann.
