Compressed-air energy storage (CAES) is an approach to store energy for later use by utilizing compressed air. The facility uses electricity to compress and store air during periods of low power demand, usually in the nighttime, and release the high-pressure air to drive electricity generator during peak load periods. A maximum of 40,000 kilowatt-hours (KWh) of electricity can be generated per day, meeting the daily demands of 3,000 households. The system independently developed by Chinese engineers bears advantages of large-scale storage, lo
