The AT&T PC 6300 / Olivetti M24 is a unique IBM PC clone mostly lost to history. This video attempts to rectify that, providing a brief history of the machine, covers how it was better than the IBM PC it was a clone of, and provides some side-by-side comparisons of performance-intensive software running on both the IBM PC and the 6300. The AT&T PC 6300 was the first PC my family owned, and I have a soft spot for it -- in fact, most of the photos in this video are from my 6300, still working after nearly 30 years. Some of the special high-res screenshots in the video were captured and converted from the real machine itself using software I wrote. The photos and video were obtained from a Samsung Epic 4G smartphone, which I regret, but I didn't have access to better equipment when I made the video. Someday I will re-make this video with better equipment. Have an M24 or 6300 without a monitor? Build an adapter that lets you connect VGA monitors: ftp://
