This jump, which goes by many different names, is difficult because of its preparation of ’tombé-pas de bourrée, glissade...’. The pas de bourrée is more a scissor than a bourrée. For the flic jeté (or whichever name you learned it by), you want to jump straight up whilst the front leg aims for a passé (or retiré) before the extension (developpé) whilst the back leg does a grand battement back and finishes in front (failli).
