Two activists on scooters made their way onto the base, poured red paint on the engines of two Airbus Voyagers, and then fled. To do this, they took a fire extinguisher converted into a huge spray can of paint and a crowbar. Before leaving, the activists painted a Palestinian flag on the asphalt.
