Pak Haji Syofian Nadar (a great Silek master), after having studyied 21 different styles including Harimau style with his uncle, created this unique style that he calls Harimau Singgalang. Harimau as this style clearly features Minangkabau’s tiger and Singgalang in dedication to this famous mountain in Minangkabau.
