Maui residents Oprah Winfrey and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently recorded an impassioned appeal for Americans to donate money for those affected by the recent wildfires, offering up $10 million of their own money as a start. Online commenters were wholly underwhelmed by the celebrities’ benevolence, however, pointing out that the two have multiple billions of dollars and could very easily hit up their megarich friends rather than average Americans who are also struggling to make ends meet. Jimmy and Craig “Pasta” Jardula, along with special guest comedian Chrissie Mayr, wonder about the tone deafness on display from Oprah and The Rock.
