Track 9 from Declan MacManus’ debut album “My Aim Is True” released in 1977 copyright Stiff Records. Widely regarded as one of the best debut albums by a pop artist, it was one of the first albums to be regarded as “New Wave” music. But let’s face it people, it’s all based on the blues, and that’s apparent on this album. The album was critically acclaimed upon its release and achieved Platinum status in 1991. In 2007, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Recorded from the original 1977 vinyl. Written by Elvis Costello and produced by Nick Lowe.
