Ignacy Feliks Dobrzyński (1807-67) was born in what is now Ukraine, but is considered Polish. He studied at the Warsaw Conservatory at the same time as Chopin, and had previously had composition lessons with Józef Elsner, who also taught Chopin. Dobrzyński was active as a conductor and pianist in Germany and Poland, and wrote an opera, symphonies, chamber music etc. as well as piano music.
