A playthrough of Jaleco’s 1993 SNES beat ’em up, Brawl Brothers. Played on the hard difficulty level. Brawl Brothers is the second game in Jaleco’s Rushing Beat series of SNES-exclusive best ’em ups, and it is the sequel of the game released in the west as Rival Turf! Brawl Brothers is still in nearly every way a clone of Streets of Rage or Final Fight, but it represents a significant jump in quality over its predecessor in terms of its graphics and playability. Three new combatants, including a ninja, a martial artist, and a female wrestler join Jack (Hack) and Oozie (Slash) in this new fight. The action is mostly what you’d expect from a game of its type - there is plenty of walking right and punching, but Jaleco does attempt to inject some variety into the formula by adding in a few maze-style stages, using player characters as bosses to be recruited, and it brings back “angry mode“ from Rival Turf! that grants you a few moments of increa
